Overview

This is a black watch dial by TAG Heuer for the Monaco reference CBL2113 — the line debuted in 1969 as the first square-cased automatic chronograph, and this dial carries the family’s signature square face with two main sub-dials and a discreet third sub-dial. The main dial is lacquered gloss black, while the sub-dial registers appear matte white, creating a high-contrast layout with applied faceted baton indices and luminous pip markers. The piece is graded Excellent in our Condition Grading Scale below.

Specifications

Color and finish: gloss black lacquer on the main dial face; matte white sub-dial registers; reverse shows brushed and machined brass with concentric lathe marks on the sub-dial recesses.

Square-format dial with three sub-dials: left register showing hours (8, 10, 12, 2, 4, 6) positioned at approximately 9 o’clock, and right register showing minutes (5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30) positioned at approximately 3 o’clock and a small register for the seconds at 6 o’clock above the date aperture. Hour markers are applied faceted baton-style indices with circular luminous pip markers at cardinal positions and smaller rectangular applied indices at intervening positions.

It features two raised rectangular sub-dial platforms with concentric machined finishing, a central through-hole for the main hand shaft, the date aperture at the 6 o’clock position, and a third sub-dial above the date aperture.
