Vintage 1960s REGO Sport Swiss Made mechanical chronograph watch

1 in stock

REGO Sport, mechanical (hand-wound) chronograph watch from the 1960s.

The watch is a worth-buying, worth-having and worth-collecting one because of its movement: a one jewel REGO 129 signed R. Laparouse. The REGO 129 is a mixture between a conventional pin lever movement and a Roskopf movement and can hardly be called chronograph, at least not in the conventional sense.

The REGO brand goes back in 1928, listed as Rego Watch, R. Lapanouse SA, Bubendorf, Holstein.

The watch is working and keeping a pretty accurate time, also the chronograph (the time lapse) function is working. The case is showing some wearing signs and it could use a restoration.

There’s no box for this watch.

Most of the watches that I am selling are liquidation or collector items, therefor I make no claims and give no warranty regarding continual accuracy of time keeping. Used, antique or vintage watches may need servicing, even if they are in good running condition. Unless otherwise stated they may need to be cleaned, oiled, adjusted and or timed. I cannot guarantee a used watch to be waterproof or water resistant.
