Mechanical chrono yachting watch Valjoux 7733 from the 1960s/1970s.
Swiss Made TRADITION mechanical (hand-wound) chronograph watch, commonly referred to as a “poor man’s Heuer ” because at a time it was Heuer who manufactured these watches for Sears, so some of the models often bear a striking resemblance. These watches were sold by Sears Roebuck under the Tradition name brand and have soared in popularity and collectability right along side their Heuer kindred.
The watch has a classic design in the 1970s style, and is powered by a Valjoux 7733 chronograph movement.
Black dial with tachometer scale, bi-compax, polished silver hands with Luminova, red central seconds hand.
The case diameter is ca. 38 mm. The back case is marked STAINLESS STEEL BACK | SWISS MADE | WATERPROOF 5 ATM | ANTIMAGNETIC | INCABLOC | 2000 | 13 – 47.
Superb brown leather artisan watch band.
The watch is working and keeping a pretty accurate time.
Very good condition with some faint marks or blemishes. No box.
Most of the watches that I am selling are liquidation or collector items, therefor I make no claims and give no warranty regarding continual accuracy of time keeping. Used, antique or vintage watches may need servicing, even if they are in good running condition. Unless otherwise stated they may need to be cleaned, oiled, adjusted and or timed. I cannot guarantee a used watch to be waterproof or water resistant.
