Vintage LAMONT COMPENSAMATIC mechanical chronograph watch from the 1950s.
Lamont was a subsidiary of Nivada / Croton.
Ca. 35 mm diameter. Powered by a Landeron based movement, 17 jewels, 18000 A/h, power reserve ca. 41h.
The watch was short tested and it measures a pretty precise time. The chronograph is functioning well.
Compensamatic was featured in the vintage adds (last photos) of the 1950s as an advanced protection system for both altitude and temperature extremes.
The watch was matched with a stunning genuine crocodile leather strap with ardillon buckle.
Excellent condition, no box – no papers. The watch is working and keeping a pretty precise time, but as for any other used or vintage watch, a basic revision is recommended.
Most of the watches that I am selling are liquidation or collector items, therefor I make no claims and give no warranty regarding continual accuracy of time keeping. Used, antique or vintage watches may need servicing, even if they are in good running condition. Unless otherwise stated they may need to be cleaned, oiled, adjusted and or timed. I cannot guarantee a used watch to be waterproof or water resistant.
