The Watch Movement

At the heart of this kit is the Frederic Piguet / Blancpain caliber 7663.4, an extra‑thin self‑winding watch movement based on the legendary Frederic Piguet caliber 1150. It is rhodium‑plated with “fausses côtes” decoration, adjusted to five positions, and features 34 jewels, a Glucydur balance, and shock protection. This watch movement consists of 215 components and offers a 65‑hour power reserve. The bi‑retrograde complication drives two seconds hands that sweep across their respective arcs before instantly resetting — a sophisticated mechanism found in high‑end Blancpain and Breguet pieces.

The watch movement has been inspected for mechanical integrity and functionality, and is confirmed to be in good working order.
