Original GIRARD-PERREGAUX Swiss Made Ferrari F300 collector watch.

This Girard Perregaux Ferrari Chronograph F300, reference 8021, has a mechanical automatic self-winding Girard Perregaux caliber 2280 movement that’s rhodium-plated, with fausses cotes embellishment. It’s constructed with 57 jewels, a shock absorber device, and a straight-line lever escapement. It includes a monometallic balance, a self-compensating flat balance spring, a hacking seconds device for precision time setting, and a micrometer regulator.

The stainless steel Girard Perregaux Ferrari Chronograph F300 8021 has a matching red leather strap with folding clasp (not original for this model), and a scratch resistant sapphire crystal. There is a solid screw-down case back secured with 7 screws, and engraved with “Manufacture Girard Perregaux”, the serial number, and reference number. It has round chronograph push buttons, an unmarked crown, and the 37.5mm diameter solid three-body case, down-turned lugs, and angled bezel are polished/brushed. The dial is anthracite gray with dark accents with luminous Arabic numeral hour markers, steel dauphine hands, and a center sweep chronograph hand. The red F-300 is in the center of the dial. A date aperture window is between 4 and 5 o’clock. There are three subsidiary dials, including a 30-minute totalizator at the 9 o’clock position, a 12-hour sub dial is at 6 o’clock, and a running seconds indicator is at 3 o’clock. It’s water resistant to 30 meters/100 feet, and the 12.5 mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed.

The watch maintenance history is unknown. The watch is working and keeping a pretty accurate time, but as for any vintage or used watch, a basic revision is recommended.

Most of the watches that I am selling are liquidation or collector items, therefor I make no claims and give no warranty regarding continual accuracy of time keeping. Used, antique or vintage watches may need servicing, even if they are in good running condition. Unless otherwise stated they may need to be cleaned, oiled, adjusted and or timed. I cannot guarantee a used watch to be waterproof or water resistant.
